Year Seven Reading Competition

23 March 2017 by

Throughout term one, the year seven cohort has been welcomed into the Library for both their English and Digital Technologies classes to explore the Library and enhance their information literacy skills.

To ensure that students continue to be connected to the Library and to promote the pleasure of reading, Library staff have developed a monthly reading challenge to inspire students to read titles outside what they would usually choose.

Each month will feature a theme in which students will need to work together as a class to read as many titles as possible. During the month of March this will be to read books with each title beginning with the first letter of their class colour. e.g. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman would be an eligible title to read for 7 Green.

We encourage parents to get on board with this initiative that seeks to challenge and motivate students to explore a wide range of novels for their personal reading.
