The Great Book Swap
The Social Justice team have registered to do the Great Book Swap as part of Book Week this month. A fundraiser for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, the GBS promotes reading locally whilst raising funds for books for remote communities. This year they hope to raise $300,000 nationally.
We are therefore seeking donations of books in good, clean condition for a big book sale, which will be held on Thursday 23 August, the next Student Progress Interview day. All books will be available for just a gold coin donation. What a bargain!
Donations can be dropped off at the library from now until the Wednesday 22 August. Fiction, non-fiction, comics, picture books, magazines and more. All donations will be gratefully received.
