Mario Kart Mondays a hit with students
Students have been clamouring to take part in a new lunchtime initiative which pits students against teachers in the newly opened, state of the art Anderledy Centre. Held every Monday lunchtime, students connect wirelessly using Nintendo DS’ to challenge each other at Mario Kart in a fun, non-threatening environment. Newly appointed computer monitor Ben Di Quinzio said “It’s very enjoyable. Mario Kart Mondays at lunchtime is something different and we all get to interact with each other. It’s great fun! ” The Centre is also open on Wednesday lunchtime where students can play a variety of PG rated games, talk tech as well as – hard to believe as it may sound – catch up on study and homework! This new student / staff driven initiative could well rival the very successful “Buskin’ on the Andereldy” held each Friday. Do we hear “Bring on KINETICS!” ringing in the distance … anything is possible :-).
