College Chaplains

26 May 2017 by

At MacKillop College we are in the lucky position of having three College Chaplains who work with us at the College. These gentlemen guide and support us in our mission as a Catholic community.

Each week for the next three weeks we will highlight each one of College Chaplains by sharing a brief biography. This week we put Fr Frank, our Parish Priest, under the spotlight.

Fr. Frank Buhagiar was born in Siggiewi, Malta. He came to Australia in October 1968 entering Corpus Christi College in Glen Waverley in February 1969 to study for the Archdiocese of Melbourne. He was ordained in Malta for the Archdiocese of Melbourne on 4th December 1971. In 1972 he was appointed Assistant Priest at St. Matthew’s in North Fawkner. He also served as Assistant Priest at St. Andrew’s in Werribee from 1976 and at St. Monica’s in Mooney Ponds from 1980. Fr. Frank was appointed Parish Priest at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help in Maidstone in 1985 and came back to St. Andrew’s in Werribee as Parish Priest on 25th June 2000.
