MacKillop Day Celebrations
The Wellbeing Team would like to thank the entire MacKillop community for a wonderful celebration on MacKillop Day, Friday 10th August.

The day began with a beautiful mass that celebrated the feast day of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. The musicians and choir were exceptional as the whole school community joined together as one to pray and give thanks for our patron saint.
After the mass each year level had a shared morning tea. Then the carnival began… Four Mechanical Rides, Jumping Castle, Giant Slide, Fairy Floss Machines, Ice-Cream and Hot Jam Donut Van, Photo Booth, African Drummers, Bands and Singers, SingStar, Face Painting, African Hip Hop Dancers, Thank God You’re Here skits, DJ’s and a Rave Cave were all to be found on and around the oval.
The rain held off, thanks to so many prayers to St Mary MacKillop, and the students enjoyed a fun-filled day.
Lunch was also supplied and there was barbecued sausages, vege burgers, hot wedges, hot soup, cans of drink and water bottles for all.
MacKillop Day is funded by the school – at no cost to students unless they wish to purchase the ice-cream, fairy floss or donuts. The Parents and Friends Association donates $2000 each year towards the costs.
The staff and students all contributed to a wonderful day and the attached photos tell some of the story.
