09 June 2017 by

This the third and final in our series about our wonderful College chaplains.

Our third College Chaplain is Fr Darien Sticklen.

The following is a profile on Fr Darien and his journey to the Werribee Parish

Ordained on 25th June 2016 at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Fr Darien commenced studies for the priesthood as a mature age student at Corpus Christi College, Melbourne, then spent four years in Rome at the Pontificio Collegio Beda, where he was appointed Head of Music and later, Liaison with the Vatican and the Italian Government Questura to assist overseas students to obtain their visas.

He holds a Bachelor of Divinity (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Pastoral Theology from St Mary’s University, London. He is a Graduate Fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Programme (Victoria, 2001) and his work in music theatre and cultural events over many years has focused on building community through inter-generational, life-long learning.

Fr Darien is very grateful to be serving the warmly welcoming people of this ‘mega-parish.’
